Day 1 - Delhi to Manali Overnight Journey by Volvo Distance: 530 kilometers

Manali

  • Your Ladakh adventure begins with an overnight journey from Delhi to Manali. Upon your arrival in Delhi, our team will guide you to the designated pickup point for the Volvo bus to Manali. A crew member will assist you in boarding the bus. Prepare for a long journey, covering a distance of 530 kilometers, which will take approximately 13-14 hours to reach the beautiful town of Manali.

Day 2 - Manali Local Sightseeing On the second day of your Ladakh road trip

Manali

  •  You'll arrive in Manali in the morning. Our team will greet you at the bus stop and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, you'll meet our tour leader for a comprehensive briefing, introduction to fellow travelers, safety guidelines, and other important tour details. This day is for acclimatization as Manali is situated at an altitude of 2050 meters above sea level.

Day 3 - Manali to Sarchu Distance: 175 kilometers

Sarchu

  • Today, you'll embark on your first thrilling ride of the Ladakh road trip. After breakfast, you'll saddle up for an adventure like no other. Leaving Manali, you'll reach the Solang Valley road at Dundhi village, which marks the starting point of the "Atal Tunnel," the world's longest high-altitude road tunnel at 3000 meters above sea level. Afterward, you'll reach Telling village, located on the other side of the tunnel on the Manali-Leh highway. Your journey will take you across the challenging Baralacha Pass before reaching Sarchu, situated at an altitude of 14000 feet. Keep in mind that oxygen levels will vary compared to lower altitudes.

Day 4 - Sarchu to Leh Distance: 240 kilometers

  • After an early breakfast, you'll set out on the journey to Leh, the main destination of your Ladakh road trip. The route from Sarchu to Leh is challenging as you'll traverse the Gata Loops, Nakeela Pass, Lachungla Pass, Moore Plains, and Tanglangla Pass before reaching Leh. Expect a long drive of 8-10 hours to reach Leh by evening. Leh is located at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level.

Day 5 - Leh (Half-Day Local Sightseeing) Distance: 70 kilometers

Leh

  • After two days of riding, you'll spend the morning exploring local sights in Leh. Your ride will commence after 12 noon as you visit Pathar Sahab Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, and Shanthi Stupa in the evening.

Day 6 - Leh to Nubra Valley Distance: 140 kilometers

Nubra Valley

  • Today, your journey takes you to Nubra Valley, known as the coldest desert nestled at an altitude of 10,000 feet in the Himalayas. Before reaching Nubra Valley, you'll cross Khardung La Pass, the world's highest motorable road at 5380 meters. You'll also visit Diskit Gompa and Hunder sand dunes, where you can enjoy a double-humped camel safari. By evening, you'll reach the camp in Nubra Valley.

Day 7 - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake Distance: 170 kilometers

Pangong Lake

  • After breakfast, your journey continues towards the world-famous Pangong Lake, located at an altitude of 14,000 feet. You'll take the Nubra-Shyok Valley route, which features tricky roads with sudden twists, turns, and multiple water crossings. In the evening, you'll arrive at Pangong Lake, where you can spend time by the lakeside.

Day 8 - Pangong Lake to Leh Distance: 175 kilometers

  • After breakfast, you'll start your return journey to Leh via the Chang La mountain pass, standing at an elevation of 17,900 feet and ranking as the world's third-highest mountain pass. You'll reach Leh by evening, and the remainder of the day is free for you to explore Leh's local market and shop for souvenirs.

Day 9 - Leh to Sarchu Distance: 240 kilometers

Sarchu

  • Having explored the wonders of Pangong Lake, you'll begin your return journey on the Leh road trip towards Delhi. Traveling back to Sarchu on the same Manali-Leh highway, you'll arrive in Sarchu by early evening. You'll have the opportunity to explore and capture breathtaking scenery in Sarchu and its surrounding mountains.

Day 10 - Sarchu to Manali & Departure Distance: 220 kilometers

  • On this day, your journey will take you through Jispa, Keylong, Tandi, Sissu, and eventually to Manali. Jispa, considered the last village in Lahaul Valley, is a peaceful and calm hideaway. After crossing Baralacha La Pass and Atal Tunnel, you'll reach Manali. Although this marks the end of your Ladakh adventure, it's the beginning of a promise to return to the captivating Himalayan valleys, where you've made lifelong memories with its people, landscapes, fresh air, starry skies, and ever-smiling friends.
