With a height of 165 metres, The Singapore Flyer is a sizable Ferris wheel. It was inaugurated in 2008 and is now one of Singapore's busiest tourist destinations. A time capsule was placed at the base of the Singapore Flyer to honour the 20th anniversary of the parent business, FlyerInvest Private Limited.
To celebrate important turning points for Singapore Flyer and FlyerInvest Private Limited, a time capsule was built. On December 31, 2017, it was sealed, and it won't be unlocked until 2048, which also happens to be the 40th anniversary of the Singapore Flyer.
The time capsule includes artefacts like a scale model of the Singapore Flyer, a letter from the CEO of FlyerInvest Private Limited, images of the Flyer's construction, and other important records about the company's past.
The Singapore Flyer, an engineering masterpiece, is preserved in the time capsule as a reminder for future generations to see a glimpse of the past.
