Day 2 - Kudremukh Trek Adventure

  • Saturday Morning:Upon reaching Chikamagalur around 7:00 AM, enjoy a hearty breakfast to prepare for the exciting day ahead. After breakfast, we'll proceed to the base camp.
  • Trek Commencement (9:00 AM):Embark on the thrilling trek to Kudremukh Peak, which stands at an elevation of 1,848 meters. The round trip covers a distance of 22 kilometers and is considered a moderate-grade climb. The journey begins with a muddy path, leading you gradually through a plateau adorned with meadows and grasslands.As you progress, the ascent becomes steeper after the initial 3-4 kilometers, maintaining its challenging gradient for the rest of the way. Apart from occasional dense forest patches, the trail primarily meanders through vast grasslands that stretch as far as the eye can see.
  • Midday Exploration:Take a well-deserved break and savor your lunch amid breathtaking views of the lush green surroundings.
  • Summit (Late Afternoon):Reach the summit in the late afternoon, where you'll be treated to panoramic vistas of the Kudremukh Peak and its surroundings.
  • Descent (2:00 PM):Begin your descent from the peak around 2:00 PM, aiming to reach the base camp by 6:00 PM, marking the completion of the trek.
  • Evening Delights:Wrap up the day with a cozy bonfire and a delightful dinner featuring local cuisine. Rest and rejuvenate for the night ahead.

Day 3 - Explore Somawathi Falls, Belur Temple, and Return

  • Sunday Morning:Wake up early to catch the sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast at 8:00 AM.
  • Somawathi Falls:Following breakfast, we'll head to Somawathi Falls, where you can refresh yourself with a dip in the crystal-clear waters.
  • Homeward Journey:Check out from the homestay/campsite and embark on the return journey to Mysore.
  • Belur Temple Visit (1:00 PM):Around 1:00 p.m., we'll make a stop to visit the beautiful Belur Temple, a cultural gem of the region. You'll have the opportunity for a self-sponsored lunch.
  • Optional Visit:If time permits, we may also visit the scenic Samse Tea Estate.
