Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, a breathtaking feat of human engineering, is comprised of three distinct sections that offer a mesmerizing spectacle for visitors eager to explore the vibrant underwater world of Dubai.
The Dubai Aquarium, an immense 10-million-liter tank found on the ground floor of the Dubai Mall, stands as one of the world's largest suspended aquariums. It spans an impressive 51 meters in length, 20 meters in depth, and 11 meters in height, serving as the home for a captivating array of marine life, set amidst artificial coral formations.
Within this colossal tank reside a remarkable 33,000 marine creatures, including 400 sharks and rays, majestic sea bass, and schools of oceanic fish that never fail to captivate both young and old alike. Notably, the tank boasts the world's largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks. The general public can gaze in awe at this underwater marvel through the world's largest acrylic viewing panel, all accessible for free from within the Mall.
A highlight of the experience can be found on the ground floor, where a 48-meter walk-through tunnel takes visitors on a captivating odyssey through the mysteries of marine life. It offers a unique 270-degree perspective of the aquarium from a vantage point 11 meters below the water's surface, affording visitors the opportunity to capture the aquatic world through their camera lenses.
The Underwater Zoo, located above the tank on level two, is thoughtfully divided into three distinct ecological zones: the Rainforest, Rocky Shore, and Living Ocean. Within its 40 individual display tanks, visitors are treated to an astonishing array of aquatic inhabitants hailing from both rivers and oceans.

A true spectacle within the Underwater Zoo is the 5.1-meter long Australian saltwater crocodile known as King Croc. This colossal reptile, at 40 years old and weighing a staggering 750 kilograms, never fails to send shivers down the spines of visitors.
The Underwater Zoo is also home to an intriguing assortment of creatures, including snakes, lizards, Giant Spider Crabs, and other nocturnal desert denizens native to the UAE, such as Arabian toads and veiled chameleons.
