By Air 

➔ To reach the Indrahar Pass Trek from Delhi by air, you can book a flight to Dharamshala Airport (Gaggal Airport), the nearest airport to McLeod Ganj. 

➔ From there, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to McLeod Ganj, the base for the Indrahar Pass Trek, which is approximately a 20-30 minute drive away.

By Road

➔ To reach the Indrahar Pass Trek from Delhi by road, you can drive or take a bus to McLeod Ganj, a journey of approximately 480 kilometers. 

➔ The most common route is via NH44 through Chandigarh, passing through picturesque towns and landscapes. McLeod Ganj serves as the starting point for the Indrahar Pass Trek.

By Train

Day 1 - Delhi to Mcleodganj | Overnight Journey to the Mountains

  • Commence your exciting journey by boarding an evening Semi-Sleeper AC Volvo bus, Tempo traveler, Sedan car, or SUV car (depending on the group size) from Delhi. Enjoy an overnight ride to your mountain destination.

Day 2 - Trek from McLeod Ganj to Triund

Triund

  • Arrive at the Bhagsu Nag Taxi Stand before 10:00 AM to kickstart your adventurous trekking experience. The trek leads you through Bhagsu Falls, Mcleodganj's largest waterfall. Take a relaxing break here, refill your water bottles with fresh mountain water, and soak in the breathtaking surroundings.
  • Proceed to the Leta/Mana Village campsite, where you can unload your bags. Grab some snacks at a local tea shack in the village (at your expense) before continuing your journey. Reach the summit around 2:30 PM and relish the awe-inspiring panoramic views.
  • After soaking in the vistas for an hour or two, start your descent. Trek back to the Leta/Mana Village campsite, relax, and check into your tents. Enjoy a lively evening with a bonfire, dinner (around 8 PM), and soothing music. Rest up for the next day.

Day 3 - Trek to the Laka Glacier

  • Wake up to a stunning view of the majestic Himalayas and savor breakfast. Embark on the first part of today's trek, leading you to the captivating Lahesh Caves, perched at 3,500m above sea level. It's advisable to cross the cave in the early morning when terrains and weather are more favorable.
  • Trek onward, passing the Snowline Cafe, and reach Ilaqa Got, your final destination for the day, about an hour from the cafe. In case finding a camping spot in Ilaqa Got proves challenging, you can return to the caves. Spend the night in camps.

Day 4 - Trek from Lahesh Caves – Indrahar Pass – Ilaqa Got

  • Rise and shine with breakfast, setting out towards the much-anticipated Indrahar Pass. Today, you'll cover the most thrilling part of the trek, reaching the enchanting Indrahar Pass at 4,300m. 
  • From the pass, soak in panoramic views of the Dhauladhar Range and other Himalayan peaks before trekking back to Ilaqa Got for an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Trek from Ilaqa Got to McLeodGanj

Mcleodganj

  • On the trek's final day to Indrahar Pass, follow the trails you trekked on the first and second days. A gradual 4-hour trek leads you back to McLeod Ganj.
