This colony is located in Chennai which was built by the Portuguese businessman De Monte. If stories are to be believed, many residents living in this colony have seen Mr. De Monte strolling on the deserted streets, relaxing on his rocking chair and opening the locks of the houses.

Talking about this broken bridge, it was built in 1967 on the Adyar River and this bridge was built to facilitate easy movement of people and fishermen from Santhome Beach to Elliot's Beach.

Some people have also said that the ancient history of this old broken moment is very old which people still remember and they also tell the coming generation.

The bridge partially collapsed in 1977 due to high tides and was a perfect location for film shoots. This also gave the place an eerie feel.

Soon after, bodies of women without any identity cards were recovered from the spot. Since then, fishermen in the area say they often hear women screaming at night. Some have even reported seeing crying women wandering around this poorly lit broken bridge at night.

They believe that these are the same women who were murdered at this place a few years ago. Although this place is closed to the general public at night, you can visit here in the morning or before sunset.

It is said that appearances can be deceiving, the same thing applies to roads as well. The Besant Avenue Road looks like a beautiful road with greenery on both sides and in this area there is a school, an animal shelter and there is also a temple.

But all this information is given by an evil ghost who rules this area even during the daytime. Whoever the ghost is, his sense of humor seems strange. He often slaps the gang and throws people, even children, out of their vehicles and then laughs out loud.

Several people have lodged complaints at the local police station that they have been slapped so hard that they fell unconscious. No logical explanation for these incidents has been found so far, which is why this place is called Chennai.

The two-lane east coast road connects Pondicherry to Chennai. The road is very pleasant for drivers during the day but becomes extremely dangerous at night due to its slippery surface. The reason why you say this is because there is a shape-shifting ghost that appears in the form of a child, girl, cat, etc.

There are many experiences and accidents recorded on this road and “one of them is I did not do anything wrong to anger the ghost on the road. I was driving my car at the speed of 90 kmph which is normal on this road” This statement is from a person who traveled on this road.

This society is quite old, built in 1887, the Theosophical Society in Adyar is home to one of the oldest and largest banyan trees which is around 500 years old. But not just that, it is also home to many scary stories that make it one of the only haunted places in Chennai.

Here is a real incident that we will talk about, he said that “We were sitting under the tree and taking pictures it was nothing strange till it got past 7:00 pm and the guards started buying us out we somehow asked for some time and We were sitting and looking at the picture in a mansion which is close to the place where Vivekananda is believed to have stayed. We heard a very scary sound from the branches of the tree and couldn't stand it”. 

Even the birds started flying in strange directions. The chip continued for 30-35 seconds and there was no one at the place except my friend and me. I could feel the fear in my stomach and I was about to cry.

We ran without looking back and went towards the main circle where we told the watchman he said it must have been a bird. Please know how the birds wish many scary incidents had happened after sunset.

Madras Christian College considered one of the most contested locations in Chennai, was shifted to Tambaram in 1937. According to the report, it is said that the spirit of the cheated lover still roams in the college, opens and closes the drain as per her wish, hides the dirt of children who play cricket, breaks windows, etc. People have also heard footsteps at various places in the college.
