Wat Phra Chetuphon

This is one of the largest as well as oldest temples in Bangkok, which is especially notable for the so-called Reclining Buddha. This marvelous statue is the biggest in Thailand and measures more than 150 meters long; tourists should not miss witnessing this place near Grand Palace Bangkok. 
 
The statue of Buddha: other than its size, the work details are quite marvelous with gold painting and gold foil on it. This is one of the largest temple complexes I have ever seen, and it is admitted perfectly clean, looking like new at all times. The outer part of the chapel is also decorated with white tiles with colored mirror work and gilded carvings like all other buildings in the temple enclosure.

On the wall of the eaves, there are bronze bells that ring only when there is a slight wind; the temperament of the tea room is solemn and mysterious at any given time. All the doors of the chapel are highly embossed; the image of the Emerald Buddha is placed within them on a raised gilt proscenium. Has been sculptured from a green jadeite stone and measures twenty-six inches in height and nineteen inches in width.

Of all the greatest and exquisite places to visit in Bangkok, the Chakri Palace has been the dwelling of the royals for centuries; and you could start your historical exploration of this mythical city here. It is established in a spacious hall with a large rectangular door and consists of ordinary styles, decorations, and ornaments.

Construction of the main building began in 1867 and was completed in 1882.  It is completely faced with marble in the Italian Renaissance style by an English architect of this name but the roof is typically Thai in exterior color being of coloured tiles. This spectacular building located in the very territory of the Thai Grand Palace is, presumably, the most picturesque one among all the buildings here. Founded by King Rama I for containing the Royal Golden edition of the Buddhist Cannon written on the palm leaves and preserved in the centerpiece of the mother of pearl casket. It also stores many ancient literature and Buddhist publications of the Rattanakosin Period as well. 
 
 An inaugural firework caused a huge fire at the building at the time when it was first opened to the public. The King then had it reconstructed to house valuable religious manuscripts, and it is recommended as one of the top places to visit in Bangkok.

Prasat Phra Debidorn

Prasat Phra Debidorn

Also known as the Prasat Phra Debidorn or the Royal Pantheon was enthroned as a shrine to house the Emerald Buddha. Previously, it had been burnt down and after reconstruction, it was built as the tomb for the sculptures of dead kings.

This section is inside the Grand Palace of Thailand; the statues here are real size depicting the eight reigning kings of the Chakri dynasty. The present ruler of Thailand is King Bhumibol, and the lineage of hierarchal title is the ninth. Pantheon is open for outsiders once a year on the 6th of April, which is Chakri Day in Thailand.
