The palace was originally built as a hunting lodge in the early 17th century by King Louis XIII, but it was his son, King Louis XIV, who transformed it into the magnificent palace we know today.

He also created the famous Hall of Mirrors, a magnificent ballroom featuring 357 mirrors, and surrounded the palace with magnificent gardens that are famous for their stunning fountains and geometric designs.

In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveler as an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
