If you're looking to plan a visit to Château Comtal, timing is key. The best time to visit is during the spring season (April - May) or during late summer (August - September). Springtime gives you the chance to experience the lovely floral blooms of the area, while late summer offers some of the warmest temperatures of the year.
It's important to note that due to its historical significance, there are certain restrictions that must be followed in order to preserve its beauty and integrity. For instance, visitors are not allowed inside at night, since this can damage historic objects and artifacts over time. Additionally, tourists are only allowed access in designated areas of the castle grounds; this helps ensure that other areas remain intact for future generations.
However, once you get inside you will be able to take in a different era – from its ancient walls and towers, to its courtyard with fountain – all of which make it an incredible sight! Themed tours are also available for kids aged 5-12 so they can learn more about this fascinating monument
