By Air

➔ To reach Matheran you can take a flight to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji airport and from there you can easily reach the camping location by public transport as this is a unique city that doesn't allow personal vehicles after a certain point.

By Train

➔ To reach Matheran you can take a train to Chhatrapati Shivaji terminus and from the railway station you can take a bus to reach Matheran which is located 80 km away from Mumbai.

By Road

➔ You can reach Mumbai by bus or by car from nearby cities and after reaching here you can take a public vehicle to reach Matheran.

Itinerary For Matheran Camping

Day 1 - Camping

Matheran

4:30 pm - Arrive at the campsite on your own.
5:30 pm - after your arrival get freshen up. Evening snacks and tea will be offered once you are ready. The camps are pitched along the lake. you have to carry your belongings on your own to the tents. Then, you can enjoy nature and the surroundings.
7:30 pm - Have BBQ (Limited and available as both Veg and Non-Veg). The palace is good for photography. You can capture both sunset and sunrise from the camps. you are free to play sports like volleyball, cricket or any other sports. After the sunset we will lit a campfire adn we will play games like Dumb Charades, Antakshari.
9:00 pm - Have dinner (available for both as Veg and Non-Veg).

Day 2 - Departure

The place is beautiful. They have common washrooms for people who choose camping, and those washrooms are not well maintained. That's the only drawback. Recommended place for a group of friends who likes to chill alongside nature. It's a little far from the main market of Matheran but that's the beauty of this place.

We visited there to watch the sunrise.. one of the various points at Matheran, located at 20 mins walk from the main market. The path is also scenic, surrounded by big trees, and full greenery.

Getting to the points is a great experience. Some of the paths are densely forested, quiet, and very peaceful. Alexander Point is very close to the Market. The view is awesome and would be best during sunrise or sunset. On the way to the point one of the locals pointed out a mini echo point which was pretty neat, keep an eye out for it.

Great place to go for a walk. We went there at night and were able to enjoy the calm weather and the stars. About a 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel Usha escort. I am sure it will be equally beautiful in the daytime as well.

Any cancellation made 25 days before the date of departure, would levy 15% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 15-25 days before the date of departure, would levy a 25% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 7-15 days before the date of departure, would levy 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 0-7 days before the date of departure, would levy 100% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
