Sagargad fort trek Overview

Sagargad, situated in the Alibaug region, stands at an elevation of 1357 feet above sea level. This hill fort offers a commanding panoramic vista of the entire Alibaug area. 


It is an exquisite fort located near the sea. Atop this fort, you can find the Siddheshwar Temple, a meandering river, and a particularly notable cliff just behind the temple, where the river cascades down into a waterfall, forming water cisterns known as Pandavkund.

Day 1 - Trek Day

Borivali National Park

  • The Sagargad trek itinerary begins with a meetup at Borivali National Park's main gate at 10:45 p.m., followed by departure at 11 p.m.
  • There are multiple pickup points, including Andheri WEH, Kalanagar bus stop in Bandra, Sion station circle, Diamond Garden in Chembur, Vashi Plaza, and McDonald's in Kalamboli.
  • On Day 1, you'll arrive at Khandale village at 3:30 a.m., start ascending at 4 a.m., and reach the summit by 7:30 a.m. After exploring, you'll begin your descent.
  • Breakfast is provided on the way. Finally, at 12:30 p.m., the return journey to Mumbai commences from the base.
