Sandhan Valley is an off-season trek near Mumbai and is truly a blend of adventure activities such as rappelling and staying in the middle of nature. The valley is known as the wonder of nature and the splendid Sahyadri mountains. The Sandhan valley is a water-carved valley around 200 ft deep and is located near the beautiful Bhandardara region. Samrad is the nearest village and is surrounded by Alang, Madan, and Kulang mountains. The trek starts from Samrad village and passes through deep gorges. The trek will take around 5 hours, including rappelling and river crossing. It is one of the kinds of life experiences you feel at the end of the trek. You will get a splendid view of high cliffs and deep valleys during the trek. Sandhan Valley is typically referred to as the valley of shadows or suspense. It hardly gets sunlight, is isolated from the outer world, and has dead silence. So passing through those deep creepy streams, lifeless rocks, and boulders will make you more thrilled. The trek has a deep narrow rock floored ravine between the two high walls of a mountain range. Its width is less than 3 ft at some places, so sun rays cannot reach some places. To go to the end side of the gorge, you have to cross 2-3 streams. The water level changes according to seasons. It is up to the waist in winter, whereas it is up to knee height in summer.
