Sindola Fort Trek Overview

Sindola Treks is one of the lesser known treks yet an interesting one. You can find various attractions like rare flower Karwi, Pinnacle structure peak and lush greenery.

Sindola fort dates back to similar instances of Nimgiri and Hadsar. This castle was used as a watchtower as it gives a whole view of Malshej Ghat, Pargaon village and different well-known forts.

The fort may be very small as compared to different well-known forts in the Junnar region. However, a few water reservoirs, the ruins of bastions and a Ganesha idol on the entrance, on the pinnacle of the fort will set you for its beauty. The rock-cut steps while hiking to the top will leave you astonished. Karvi/Karwi is a group of 7 species of shrubs, limited to the western ghats. Famous because they do not bloom. Each flower has its very own cycle. Once in a seven-year time period, they bloom. You can spot those uncommon plants throughout the trail around you.

Sindola fort trail is divided into 3 sections:
  • From the highway towards plateau- Field walk Gradual trek until you reach the first ridge.
  • First Ridge till starting point by traverse.
  • Trek to the Sindola fort.
